Resurrectional Tropar, Tone 5

Let us, the faithful, praise and worship the Word, Co-eternal with the Father and the Spirit, born for our salvation of the Virgin. In His Good Will He was lifted up on the Cross in the flesh to suffer death and to raise the dead by His glorious Resurrection.

Tropar of the Feast, Tone 4

Your Nativity, Christ our God, has shone to the world the Light of Wisdom. For by it those who worshiped the stars were taught by a star to adore You, the Sun of Righteousness and to know You the Orient from on High. Lord, glory to You.

Tropar of the Holy Fathers, Tone 2

Joseph, proclaim the great miracles you have witnessed to David the Ancestor of God: You have seen the Virgin with Child, given glory with the shepherds, worshiped with the Magi and an angel of the Lord has appeared to you. Pray to Christ our God to save our souls.

Glory …
Kondak or the Holy Fathers, Tone 6

Today David the Holy One is filled with joy. Joseph and James offer their hymns of praise. They offer their hymns of praise to the One born on earth in a manner beyond description and cry out: Merciful One, save those who honor You.

Now and Ever …
Kondak of the Feast, Tone 3

Today, the Virgin gives birth to the Transcendent One and the earth offers a cave to the Unapproachable One. Angels with shepherds glorify Him. The Magi journey with the star. Since for our sake the Eternal God was born as a little Child.

Prokimens

Priest: Let us be attentive! Peace be with you all!

Deacon: Wisdom!

Choir: (repeats the prokimen)

Reader: Vs. O Lord, save me for there is no longer any righteous man.

Choir: (repeats the prokimen)

Reader: The Second Prokimen in Tone 4: God is wondrous in His saints, the God of Israel.

Choir: God is wondrous in His saints, the God of Israel.

Epistle

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.

Deacon: Let us be attentive.

Reader: Brethren, but I make known to you that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.

Priest: Peace be with you.

Reader: And with your spirit. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Verse: Of Your mercies O Lord, I will sing forever; unto generation and generation I will proclaim Your Truth with my mouth.

Verse: You have said: Mercy will be established forever and My Truth will be prepared in the heavens.

Verse: Lord, remember David and all his meekness.

Instead of "It is right in truth"

Magnify, my soul, the Most-Pure Virgin Birth-Giver of God who is greater in honor and more glorious than the hosts on high.

Irmos, Tone 1: A strange and wonderful mystery do I see: The cave is heaven, the Virgin the Throne of the Cherubim and the manger a room in which Christ, the Uncontainable God, is laid. Him do we praise and magnify.

Communion Verses

The Lord has sent deliverance to His people. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Rejoice in the Lord, you Righteous, praise befits the upright. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
