Tropar Resurrectional, Tone 4

When the women disciples of the Lord learned from the angel the joyous message of Your Resurrection, they cast away the ancestral curse and with gladness told the apostles: death is overthrown. Christ God is risen, granting the world great mercy.

Tropar to Mother of God, Tone 4

Let us, the sinful and humble, now earnestly flee to the Theotokos, and bow down, crying out in repentance from the depth of our souls: Help us, O Lady, who have had mercy upon us. Hasten, for we perish from a multitude of transgressions. Turn not your servants away, for you do we have as our only hope.

Tropar of our church, Tone 4

Prophet and Forerunner of the coming of Christ, we who honor you with love can find no manner of praising you worthily. For the barrenness of one who bore you and the silence of your father have been ended by your being born of divine grace and you have proclaimed to the world the Incarnation of the Son of God.

Tropar to Martyr, Tone 1

By the pangs of the saints, whereby they suffered for You, be entreated, O Lord; and heal all our pain, we pray to You, Who loves mankind.

Resurrectional Kondak, Tone 4

My Savior and Redeemer as God arose from the tomb and delivered the earthborn from bondage. He has shattered the gates of Hades and, as Master, He has risen on the Third Day.

Kondak of our church, Tone 3

She who was previously barren now bears the Forerunner of Christ who is the fulfillment of every prophecy. For the prophets proclaimed beforehand that having laid hands on Him in the Jordan, he would be manifest as Prophet, Preacher and Forerunner of the Word of God.

Glory …
Kondak to Martyr, Tone 4

The feast of the passion-bearers has dawned upon us today as the harbinger of gladness; and celebrating it, we glorify the Lord Who lives in the highest.

Now and Ever …
Kondak to Mother of God, Tone 6

We have none other help, we have none other hope than you, O Lady. Do  help us. On you do we set our hope, do we glory. Let us never be confounded, for we are your servants.

Epistles

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.

Deacon: Let us be attentive.

Reader: Brethren, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Philippians.

Deacon: Let us be attentive.

Reader: Brethren, let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Priest: Peace be with you.

Reader: And with your spirit. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Verse: Bend Your bow and proceed prosperously, and reign because of truth, meekness and righteousness.

Verse: You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity.

Verse: Hear, daughter, see and incline your ear.

Communion Hymns

Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the highest. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the Name of the Lord. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
